GEM OF THE MONTH - PEARL
Our attraction to pearls is timeless. Among the first gems known to man, pearls have grown in value and appeal from accidental finds by fishermen to a multibillion-dollar industry. Their rarity has made them a traditional sign of wealth, filling vaults from Ancient Egypt to Hollywood and gracing many of history's famous figures. Pearls are soft and need special care. If you wear your pearls often, they should be restrung once a year. NEVER use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner on your pearls, and do not expose them to detergents.

J. Thomas Jewelers is participating in a new program, "Share Ring," that provides a symbolic necklace in sterling silver to those who have lost their jobs. Each jobless person receives two Share Ring necklaces compliments of J. Thomas Jewelers – one for them to keep and one to give away.
